Rosita Wong . President
If Rosita believes in one thing, it is that “nothing is impossible”.
A strong and talented woman from a humble family in China, Rosita
has lived in the United States and Canada as an international student,
a hotel housekeeper, an advertising executive, a union representative
and a journalist. She started East Communications & Consulting
in 2005 with a commitment to make a difference in the world, even
if only on a small scale.
A journalist by training, Rosita has worked for Chinese-North American
print, radio and television media in locations as diverse as Hong
Kong, mainland China, the United States and Canada. A former Washington
and Ottawa Correspondent, she brings a unique sense of international
affairs to East. She has won numerous media awards for excellence
in journalism.
Yvonne Wang. Director of Travel Trade
Yvonne is the Zen master at East. She does not only practice Buddhism,
she lives Buddhism inside and out. Calm and wise, Yvonne brings in
the all-round perspectives of China's tourism world to our clients.
At East, Yvonne leads our travel trade team to serve our high-profile
tourism bureau clients. Her mature approach always wins battles
for our clients in the complex Chinese tourism market. Yvonne worked
in the travel trade industry in China for 13 years before she joined
East Communications. She has worked with high level clients such
as IBM, Procter & Gamble, AVON, and Guangdong Tourism Administration
Bureau.
Claire Han. Director of Public Relations
Claire is East's mind in the corporate world. Her extensive experience
in corporate PR has won her the name of Miss Corporate China among
our team. She has worked with prestigious clients including Procter & Gamble, Hewlett Packard Airbus, MarieClaire and Rio Tinto
to name just a few. She also worked for China's CCTV and Xinhua
News Agency as editor before joining the PR industry.
Claire is also the celebrity blogger at East. She has hundreds
of followers in the blogs that she writes for our clients.
Zhang Li. Director of Operations
Li keeps East's team on track - from invoicing, to human resources,
to happy hour, to stocking up our offices with chips and snacks.
Having worked for large corporations for years, Li brings a wealth
of experiences in building the internal structure for East to grow
and prosper.
Li is a free spirit herself. She has lived in the mountain in the
Yunnan Province in China in search of her inner soul.
Millie Lou. Business Development Manager
Millie is the future of East. She brings in business leads and builds
relations with future clients. Her vision for growth is the foundation
for East to take the next steps that grow as our clients expand.
Raised in Canada, Millie is the Yang side of the Ying. Her unique
sense to the western culture keeps our campaigns in balance.
